چکیده

Reliable and eecient techniques are now available to synthesize gain-scheduled controllers. Such techniques take advantage of Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) characterizations of gain-scheduled controllers and provide a global and systematic treatment of the gain-scheduling problem. This paper examines how such controller structures, designed in continuous time, can be discretized and implemented in practical applications. A special emphasis is placed on reducing the computational cost of discrete implementations. The validity of the proposed concepts and schemes are illustrated through a two-link exible manipulator design example.

Robust Fuzzy Gain-Scheduled Control of the 3-Phase IPMSM

This article presents a fuzzy robust Mixed - Sensitivity Gain - Scheduled H controller based on the Loop -Shaping methodology for a class of MIMO uncertain nonlinear Time - Varying systems. In order to design this controller, the nonlinear parameter - dependent plant is first modeled as a set of linear subsystems by Takagi and Sugeno’s (T - S) fuzzy approach. Both Loop - Shaping methodology and...

NON-FRAGILE GUARANTEED COST CONTROL OF T-S FUZZY TIME-VARYING DELAY SYSTEMS WITH LOCAL BILINEAR MODELS

This paper focuses on the non-fragile guaranteed cost control problem for a class of T-S fuzzy time-varying delay systems with local bilinear models. The objective is to design a non-fragile guaranteed cost state feedback controller via the parallel distributed compensation (PDC) approach such that the closed-loop system is delay-dependent asymptotically stable and the closed-loop performance i...

Advanced gain-scheduling techniques for uncertain systems

This paper is concerned with the design of gain-scheduled controllers for Linear Parameter-Varying systems. Two alternative LMI characterizations are investigated. Both characterizations are amenable to a nite number of LMI conditions either via a gridding of the parameter range or via grid-free techniques which rely on multi-convexity concepts. Practicality and implementation issues are discus...

Positive polynomial matrices for LPV controller synthesis

Positive polynomial matrices and linear matrix inequalities (LMI) can be used to design linear parameter varying (LPV) controllers depending polynomially on the scheduling parameters, and robust to polynomial parametric uncertainty. The salient features of the approach are (a) the ability to design a controller of order and structure fixed a priori; (b) the use of a transfer function, or polyno...

Scheduled controllers for linear systems with bounded actuators

Output feedback scheduled controllers are designed for linear systems with saturating actuators. The scheduling is based on the closed-loop system response, thus resulting in quasi-linear parameter-varying structure for the compensator, as well as the performance measure. Linear splines are used to obtain solutions that can be obtained by standard LMI software.
